Danish Agro reshuffles its Group Executive Board and appoints a new Group Director

Danish Agro has made changes to its Group Executive Board and appointed new Group Directors for two of the Group’s six divisions.

As part of the change, Michael Stevns has been appointed new Group Director in the Danish Agro Group by 1 May. The changes follow the resignation of Søren Rathcke as CEO of Hedegaard A/S, which means that he will also be resigning from Danish Agro’s Group Executive Board.

Henrik Stilund (49), Group Director of Danish Agro and member of the Group Executive Board, will become head of the Group’s international agribusiness activities in Agribusiness International. Up to now, he has been a member of the Executive Board as COO.

Michael Stevns (57), new Group Director in the Danish Agro Group, will be charged with the Group’s Agribusiness Support division, which is managing and coordinating procurement, seed development, energy products, etc.

Group CEO of the Danish Agro Group, Henning Haahr, is very satisfied with the new executive team:

“Henrik Stilund has many years’ experience in the Danish Agro Group and the Group Executive Board and is close to our international agribusiness activities. Henrik is a highly competent and skilled manager, and I’m certain that he will help develop our international agribusiness activities,” he says, continuing:

“Michael Stevns has a lot of experience from the agricultural industry and has been working for the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, Arla Foods and the Danish Dairy Association. I’m confident that with Michael’s qualifications and experience, we will be able to continue the strong development we have seen in our support activities for the past years,” he ends.

Henrik Stilund has been working for the Danish Agro Group since 2002 and is a member of the Executive Board and the Group Executive Board. Besides his new executive responsibility for the Group’s international agribusiness activities, Henrik Stilund is also group responsible for risk management, crop and raw material trade as well as Scanfedt and Scanola.

Michael Stevns comes from a position as CEO of the Danish Association of Hunters, has previously worked as director of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, Arla Foods and the Danish Dairy Association. He will take up his new position in the Danish Agro Group by 1 May.
