DanHatch to acquire french hatchery

The hatchery group DanHatch A/S, which Danish Agro is part owner of, has acquired the french hatchery Goasduff

DanHatch A/S together with the Belgian partner Belgabroed have just signed a Letter of Intent to acquire shares in the family-owned hatchery Goasduff, which is located in Plabennec in France.
The three hatchery companies are now conducting exclusive negotiations for the purpose of Belgabroed and DanHatch, through a 50/50 company, becoming the majority shareholder in Goasduff, while the family Goasduff will continue as an important minority shareholder.
For all three companies, this new collaboration around the joint ownership of Goasduff will be a very important step, leading to the strengthening of each individual partner. The collaboration will also mean that Goasduff will be able to continue its regional and national development.
Goasduff and the family’s involvement in the collaboration gives the new owners a good domestic reputation, anchoring in the French market, expertise and knowhow in market concepts and in slow-growing breeds. Belgabroed and DanHatch can strengthen Goasduff with their expertise in traditional breeds and their knowledge of the international market. In this way, the collaboration will offer the opportunity to deliver a wide range of breeds that meet the high-quality standards in poultry production demanded by European consumers.
Belgabroed and DanHatch are extremely pleased to have received the trust of the Goasduff family and welcome the fact that both the current and the next generation of the family will remain active within the future development and management of the company. This means that the family Goasduff will continue to play a prominent role on the French market, and they will remain in charge of their excellent staff who work in the hatchery and on the company’s rearing and breeder facilities.
